The Israelis and the Palestinians are set to hold direct talks for the first time since 2010. The talks are set to be held in Jordan on Tuesday under the auspices of the Mideast Quartet—which consists of the United States, the European Union, Russia and the United Nations.
Prime Minister’s Office spokesman Mark Regev spoke on Monday by phone with The Mideast Update on Israel’s approach and view of the upcoming discussions with the Palestinians.
