Despite the fact that a lasting ceasefire still had not yet been reached with the Palestinian terrorists in Gaza, Israel is still helping needy Palestinians from Gaza. On Wednesday, Israel evacuated 18 wounded Palestinians from the Israel-Gaza crossings to Israel’s Ben Gurion airport—where a Turkish plane took them on to receive treatment in Turkey.
A press release from the Magen David Adom (Israeli national medical group) said that of the Palestinians, one was in serious condition and four were in moderate condition. 16 escorts were transported with the wounded. The medical mission came the same day Israel harshly criticized claims they committed war crimes in Gaza.
Amid reports the United Nations Human Rights Council is forming an investigation into Israel’s actions in Gaza, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed disbelief that such allegations could be made against Israel.
“Instead of inquiring into Hamas’s attacks on Israeli civilians and its use of the residents of Gaza as human shields… the UN has decided to come and check Israel—the only democracy in the Middle East, a democracy generic viagra yahoo which is acting legitimately to defend its citizens against murderous terrorism,” said Netanyahu in a statement released by his office.
The Israeli leader said that by targeting Israel, who are fighting terrorism, the UN Human Right’s Council “gives legitimacy” to terror groups such as Hamas and ISIS. “They should visit Damascus, Baghdad and Tripoli; they should go see ISIS, the Syrian army and Hamas—there they will find war crimes, not here,” said Netanyahu.
The UN Human Rights Council’s concerns about Israel stand in strong contrast to the work Israel is still doing to help the innocent Palestinians caught in the conflict.
As the MDA press release noted, “In the framework of the State of Israel’s humanitarian activity, Magen David Adom is working on an ongoing basis to transfer the ill and the wounded from the Gaza Strip to hospitals in Israel for medical treatment.”
Hamas, on the other hand, intentionally uses their own civilians as human shields, according to a Hamas manual discovered by the IDF, the IDF Blog reported.
And those same civilians put at risk by Hamas are now being given medical care, thanks to Israel.
