The Supreme Leader of Iran took to Twitter to slam the Middle East peace plan of United States President Donald Trump, dubbed the “Deal of the Century”, and declared that it would “never be realized”. Meanwhile, he has his own “peace plan” and it involves stacking the deck against the Jews and destroying the State of Israel at the ballot box.

In a speech marking the end of Ramadan on Wednesday, Ayatollah Khamenei said that Iran’s youth of today would see the Palestinians take over “Palestine” according to a series of posts on Twitter. Khamenei also rejected the American peace plan, despite its involving key Muslim nations with plans for an economic summit later this month. The Iranian leader’s extremist form of Islam was in play, as he tapped into his religion to hope for divine assistance to scuttle the Trump peace plan.

“The purpose of the summit is to implement the treasonous, vicious US plot that they call ‘Deal of the Century’. Of course this will not happen and the Deal of the Century will never be realized, God willing,” said a post on Khamenei’s official English Twitter page.

While Khamenei’s Twitter posts rejected calls by Muslim leaders to throw the Jews “into the sea”, he nonetheless subtly called for the destruction of Israel via a political means. This would be via referendum that would allow all residents of “Palestine”—and he included Jews in the definition—to vote on a “governing system.” The leader who has called Israel a “cancer” on Twitter implied this plan refers to all of Israel and not just the territories claimed by the Palestinians for a state.

To try and stack the demographic deck against Israel, he called for Palestinian refugees from all over the world to vote too—a group of people estimated to be around five million by UNRWA, as it includes descendants of refugees despite that not being a traditional definition of refugee.

If people are unwilling to submit to this unfair voting scheme, Khamenei said in his post “resistance should continue; by God’s grace Palestinians will be victorious; youth will see the day Palestine is returned to Palestinians.”

While “resistance” can be both political and militaristic, Khamenei made it clear in his posts that he includes using military means as well.

“Palestinian nation’s pervasive fight including military, political & cultural resistance should persist until usurpers surrender to this nation’s will,” said Khamenei.

One day after Khamenei’s call for ongoing violence to achieve the goals of the Palestinians, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu highlighted the most terrifying military means Iran is pursuing: nuclear weapons.

In comments released by his office on Thursday, Netanyahu said, “It’s very clear Iran is lying. Iran is continuing to work towards an arsenal of nuclear bombs, and we’re committed to stop it.”
