Iran gave another warning to the US, but the main target in the crosshairs isn’t who you’d expect. If you attack them, they’ll destroy… Israel? With terrorists in Lebanon?
That’s what the senior military aid to the Supreme Leader of Iran said in comments quoted by the Fars News Agency. “The start of war against Iran means the destruction of the Zionist regime [A.K.A. The State of Israel] by Hezbollah forces of Iran and the Lebanese Hezbollah.” Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi further warned of “reciprocal and inconceivable strikes.”
Now that sounds peaceful, doesn’t it?
Lest the US think Iran is too far away to threaten them, the Iranians implied that Americans may be at risk as well.
One official quoted by Fars said Iran’s response to an attack would have “no boundary.” Similarly, Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan said, “The enemy can never assess and think of the range of the response given by the powerful and mighty Armed Forces of the Islamic Iran.”
Iran has plans for warships to reach the Atlantic Ocean and has already shown a terrorist reach as far as South America and a plot in the US.
That doesn’t mean the US should be afraid of Iran, but they’re more dangerous and violent than the image they present on American TV news.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded well to the Iranian threats in comments released by his office. “Today, Iran is marking 35 years since the Islamic Revolution and this ‘celebration’ has been marked by repeated calls for Israel’s destruction. The desire to cut the Jewish People off from its homeland did not pass from the world with the establishment of the state [of Israel]. What has changed is our ability to oppose those who seek our lives and frustrate their designs.”
