After Nice, Israel Recalls Palestinian Support for Vehicular Terror

The Palestinian government and even their most powerful terror group may have condemned the recent vehicular terror attack in Nice, France, but Israel pointed out that at home their voices have said the opposite about ramming Israelis. “The Palestinian Authority also sent condemnations and condolences, but with one difference: Here, not only do they not condemn vehicular terrorism, they encourage it,” said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in comments on Sunday released by his office.

“They glorify the terrorists responsible and finance them and their families if the terrorists are dead. Terrorism is terrorism, whether it is in France or Israel, and there must be a unified approach of condemnation and war on this terrorism – here and everywhere else.”

The Palestinian government wasn’t the only group sounding hypocritical in their condemnation of the Nice attack. IDF spokesman Lt. Col. Peter Lerner retweeted Hamas’ condemnation of the truck that killed dozens in France, while tweeting himself that “#Hamas, condemned #NiceAttack ramming, but celebrates & encourages rammings in Israel.”

Netanyahu, in his comments on Sunday, called the Nice terrorism “shocking” and said that it “underscores the need for a unified and aggressive approach in the face of the murderous terrorism that is attacking the entire world.”
